Trip Itinerary
Saturday
Meet at church at 8:00AM and depart around 8:30
Bring a lunch for yourself for Saturday.
Drive directly to Conodoguinet Cave, 4 Cave Hill Drive, Carlisle, PA, approx. 2 hours out the Schuylkill Exp.
The cave is pretty cool and totally optional to go in or not. 2-4 scouts go in at once with a headlamp or flashlight and is only about 200 feet in length. The scouts are in the cave for about 15-20 mins and then come back out and then the next group goes in. It’s all on the same level with a sandy and wet floor. I’ll bring hip waders, but some scouts might just go in in sneakers. I suggest bringing an old, spare pair just in case. When we went 2 years ago, most people went in with sneakers.
We’ll spend 1 ½ hours at the cave and then drive to our campsite Caledonia State Park.
The afternoon activity is a day hike from our campsite, thru Caledonia up the Appalachian Trail.

Sunday
Hot breakfast and set up and conduct some Tot N Chip advancement.
Will depart for Haddon Twp around 11:00am and be back in town around 1:00pm.
