BSA Troop #179

Haddon Twp, Collingswood, and Nearby Communities

Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 179!

Our program serves boys in the Haddon Township, Collingswood and and surrounding towns in New Jersey.

We are a part of the White Horse District, Garden State Council in Southern New Jersey.

We welcome kids from grades 6-12 that are interested in having fun and learning the Scouting values of honesty, respect for others, and good conduct. We practice teamwork, citizenship, and leadership in a “youth led” manner.

Our regular meetings occur on Thursdays throughout the year at Westmont Methodist Church.

Our camping trips take place once a month, and special trips/events occur throughout the year.

The Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

The scout law is our value set. It’s the framework for making decisions for both scouts and adult leaders. The scout law is real to us. We live by it at camp, and at home.

The Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly,
courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty,
brave, clean, and reverent.

Thank you!
